All Legendary loot in Borderlands 4 serves a great purpose to bring power to players, but that comes at the cost of death. One such victim of Vault Hunters and their farming for loot is Genone, a secret boss who can only be found through a Side Mission. Below, we’ve outlined where you can find Genone and what Legendary drops he has, so you know if he’s worth farming or leaving behind to rust.
How to Find Genone in Borderlands 4
Genone Location & Yawning Yard Walkthrough
Players can farm Genone once they have completed the “Fault Hunting” Side Mission, which is available from Carcadia in Carcadia Burn. Players can find a bounty on the wall of Carcadia to start this mission, or they can venture straight to the Society for Amateur Seismology Enthusiasts at the Ruined Sumplands to speak directly with Leopold to start the quest. After which, they will have unlocked Genone’s facility.

Once players have completed Fault Hunting, they will be able to return to Genone’s location by heading to the bunker found underneath the cliff of The Yawning Yard in Lopside. After navigating through the facility, they will find Moxxi’s Encore, which allows them to purchase a replay of the boss to farm him repeatedly.

When it comes to Genone’s loot, it’s pretty limited. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t exceptional. Players should definitely try to farm for the Oscar Mike Assault Rifle, as this can come with one of two special effects. The first, being the most important. Oscar Mike can spawn with the Space Laser Alt-Fire mode, which allows players to call down a Space Laser to deal damage every .2 seconds, which absolutely nukes bosses with the right builds.
Genone is a pretty easy boss to beat, as his first health bar is Shield, so simply use Shock to take care of it. His second health bar is Armor, so Corrosive/Cryo is effective against it. While Genone does have backup with his Order troops, they are easy enough to kill, and Genone’s own attacks involve splash damage, so as long as you’re moving, he won’t be able to kill you.
