The Athletic has reported that Serie A side Roma have submitted an official bid worth £20m for Sancho this summer, as the England international continues to look for a move away from Manchester United. However, the Blues eventually decided to pay a penalty fee to back out of their commitment.

Sancho has been a part of Manchester United's 'bomb squad', which consisted of five players who were told they were not part of Ruben Amorim's plans, alongside Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Tyrell Malacia and Antony. While Rashford has since been sent out on loan, Sancho and the rest are still staying put at Old Trafford but are actively looking for a move away.
