Manchester United have been offered an opportunity to offload Andre Onana with Monaco keen to sign the Cameroonian goalkeeper.

Monaco are looking to reinforce their goalkeeping department and have zeroed in on Onana, as revealed by The Ligue 1 outfit are looking for an upgrade on Radoslaw Madecki and Philipp Kohn, and they believe that the United shot-stopper can provide the much-needed assurance between the sticks.

However, Onana is not the only high-profile name on their shortlist. Chelsea keeper, Djordje Petrovic, who proved his mettle on loan at Strasbourg, is one of the options as the keeper does not feature in Enzo Maresca's plans for next season. Another former Red Devil, David De Gea, was also under consideration until he signed a new contract at Fiorentina. Barcelona's Marc Andre Ter-Stegen is also available in the market as the keeper is willing to seek a fresh challenge after the Catalans signed Joan Garcia from Espanyol.

Onana's current deal runs until 2028 and will not come cheap. United spent £47.5 million ($64m) on the insistence of Erik ten Hag to lure him from Inter in 2023, and would look to recoup at least £30m ($40.5m). Whereas an initial loan deal with a mandatory purchase clause can also be inserted, as they seem desperate to get him off their books and make room for Aston Villa's Emi Martinez.
