City have beaten off competition from Arsenal, Aston Villa and Girona to land 18-year-old talent Nypan, according to The Athletic. The midfielder is close to agreeing a switch to the Etihad Stadium for a record fee for a player from the Norwegian league and is expected to be sent straight out on loan next season.

Guardiola has been busy reshaping his squad after a disappointing season. Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri and Marcus Bettinelli have already signed and will be part of the first-team squad for next season. Nypan may have to wait longer for his Manchester City debut, with the final details of his potential move from Rosenberg still to be ironed out, but he is clearly seen as another big talent for the future by Man City.
